Gas Turbine Resources completes a direct purchase of a surplus 6.5 MW power plant from Visy Paper re-cycling plant located at Parramatta, Sydney Australia.

The works included pre-removal full power engine test, sale contract preparation, risk assessments necessary to undertake safe decommissioning, preparation of guidance and method statements to ensure project clarity and minimise impact upon remaining operational processes within the boiler house.

The brief included physical dismantling and removal of all the associated equipment from the factory boiler house location and extraction from the customer site.

The equipment comprised a Siemens SGT200 packaged gas turbine prime mover, driven unit gearbox and alternator.
